Eco-Hospitality Series: Session 2

On Nov. 25th, the second session to the film series “Hospitality in European Film: Eco-Hospitality” was held. Prof. Mónica Fernández Jiménez and Prof. Mattia Bianchi introduced Benedikt Erlingsson’s film Woman at War with a lecture entitled “Activism and Survival Strategies in Woman at War.” The event was attended by approximately 130 people. After the screening of the film, a lively discussion ensued. Among the relevant issues discussed was the prevalence of responsibility towards the individual other in need, or to the planet as a whole, the legitimacy of the use of violence, gender roles in the ecological fight, etc.
