On December 17, 2018, Cines Van Dyck (Salamanca) in collaboration with the University of Salamanca presented the third session of the film series Hospitalidad en el cine europeo, organized by the Hostfilm Project. The session was attended by around 150 people. Research assistant Paula Barba opened the session with an introduction to Aki Kaurismaki’s Toivon tuolla puolen (Eng., The Other Side of Hope; Sp. El otro lado de la esperanza), followed by a lively discussion after the film.
The next and final session will take place on January 29, 2019, and will present the Spanish film Flores de otro mundo. The session will be conducted by Prof. Rosa Benéitez (University of Salamanca).
