Cine Europeo y Hospitalidad: Empatía, Hospitalidad, Esperanza
Project members Jesús Benito and Mónica Fernández have hosted a series of seminars in Spanish dealing with the topic of hospitality and cinema at Universidad de Valladolid with the participation of guest speakers and project members from four different institutions: Universidad de Valladolid, Universidad de Salamanca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad de Oviedo. Because of the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis, only three seminars could be imparted at the university, but the team managed to finalise the activity through online means. The series of seminars were conceived as a way to bring our project closer not only to our students but also to our most immediate community. As such, we chose to impart the seminars in Spanish so as to be able to reach a broader audience. This decision has proved satisfactory as we received attendees from diverse areas of specialisation such as history or philosophy. The attendees who have successfully finalised the activity received 1 ECTS credit.
