Project members participated in the 43rd edition of the international Conference AEDEAN (Asociación Española de Estudios Anglo-Nortemaericanos, Spanish Association of Anglo-American Studies) celebrated at University of Alicante (Nov 13-15, 2019).
Dr. Miriam Borham Puyal introduced the use of the Film Analysis done by the project in the ROUND TABLE “Re-Orienting the Monster for Twenty-First Century Audiences.”
Prof. Paula Barba Guerrero and Dr. Jorge Diego Sánchez carried out a WORKSHOP entitled “Hospitality in European Film: Identifications of In/Visible Borders and Sociopolitical Participation” where they discussed the different uses of Film Analysis and its impact and reception on different age groups in secondary, undergraduate and continuing education. They also examined the participation within multiple educational targets. The results of various training activities organised were presented to illustrate the project’s scope and reach within a much more specialised audience.
María Luisa González Rodríguez and Amanda E. Gerke delivered a PAPER entitled “Project Using Films to Foster Pre-service Teachers’ Intercultural Awareness in an EFL Context” to explain the ways in which Intercultural Awareness can be enacted in the specific community of pre-service teachers.
