Prof Sofia Dias presents HOSTFILM project at Seminar in Pescara

Prof. Sofia Dias delivers the talk A representação cinematográfica da imigração brasileira na Europa: a hospitalidade em Jean Charles” at the “V Seminário de Estudos sobre a Imigração Brasileira na Europa” that took place at the Università degli Studi “Gabriele d’Annunzio”, in Chieti-Pescara, Pescara, Italy on November 8-10, 2018. Prof. Dias’s talk centered on 2009 British-Brazilian film Jean Charles, directed by Henrique Goldman. The film represents the tragic true story of Jean Charles de Menezes, the innocent Brazilian shot dead by British police in 2005 at the height of the London terrorist alerts.
